We started on foot, we remain on foot! Peter Walker talks about the pioneering days of adventure travel on page 5. Did you know that Ryder-Walker Alpine Adventures is the only trek-focused adventure travel company that still exists from the early days of adventure travel. We don’t offer sailing trips, painting classes or bike tours. If you like to hike, then Ryder-Walker is the place to be.
We announce new hiking tours in Canada, Peru, Italy, Switzerland, and a redesigned hiking itinerary in Bhutan. We’ve also simplified the process for choosing the right hiking tour on page 9. You can pick a hike based on effort and geographic region.
We still have limited edition merchandise for sale on page 77, including sexy fleece jackets and sporty baseball caps.
Also on page 77, we offer limited edition paintings (originals and prints) of our three favorite alpine scenes (the Val Ferret, Val Travenanzes and Val Bregaglia), commissioned by us and painted by award-winning artist Wayne McKenzie. One of the original paintings sold, but you can still order prints or one of the remaining originals. These would make great Christmas gifts!
