Born and raised in the Telluride region, Fischer spent the majority of his life exploring the mountains of Southwestern Colorado. After obtaining degrees in Geology and Spanish Language & Literature from Colorado College, Fischer returned to live in Telluride. For the past five years he has been guiding in different mountain ranges around the world including multiple ascents of Denali, as well as treks in South America, Africa and China. When not traveling and sharing his passion for exploration, Fischer loves to spend time climbing, running, cooking and generally relaxing at home with friends.
