Update: March 26, 2020 for Ryder-Walker Guests

Ryder-Walker is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and we would like to convey to our clients that your wellbeing is our first concern. In this frequently changing environment, we also have to continue to update policies and information so that we keep guests informed on our decisions to postpone or cancel trips as well as update policies to protect your investment in us and ours in your future travel.

Due to continued travel bans, all Guided treks during the months of April and May have been cancelled and the new dates are listed below:

· Scotland: Rob Roy Way has been rescheduled to September 4 – 12, 2020
· Sicily: The Aeolian Islands has been rescheduled to September 19 – 26, 2020
· England: The Cotswolds has been rescheduled to September 20 – 30, 2020
· Isola di Capri: The Jewel of Southern Italy has been rescheduled to October 2 – 7, 2020
· Peru: Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu has been rescheduled to October 25 – November 4, 2020

All Self-Guided trips March through May have been cancelled or transferred to run later in the year.

New Cancellation Policy related to refunds and credits due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.*

Self-Guided and Guided Trips:

Cancellations between now and 60 days prior to departure, your options to consider are:

  1. Keep your balance on file and receive a transferrable credit of 110% to be used for a Ryder-Walker trip from 2021 forward with no expiration date.
  2. Switch to another date or destination in 2020. No change fee charged.
  3. Receive a full refund.

NOTE: For all options listed above you will be charged for any out of pocket amounts expended such as non-refundable hotel or taxi transfer charges that Ryder-Walker had to pay due to the cancellation or postponement.

For cancellations between 45 and 60 days of departure, your options to consider are:

  1. Switch to another date or destination in 2020 with no change fee.
  2. Keep your balance on file and receive a transferrable credit to be used for a Ryder-Walker trip from 2021 forward with no expiration date.

NOTE: For both options listed above you will be charged for any out of pocket amounts expended such as non-refundable hotel or taxi transfer charges that Ryder-Walker had to pay due to the cancellation or postponement.

Cancellations less than 45 days prior to departure, your options to consider are:

  1. Switch to another date or destination in 2020 with change fee of up to 10% of the trip cost.
  2. Keep your balance on file and receive a transferrable credit minus the $500 per person deposit. The credit can be used for a Ryder-Walker trip from 2021 forward with no expiration.

NOTE: For both options listed above you will be charged for any out of pocket amounts expended such as non-refundable hotel or taxi transfer charges that Ryder-Walker had to pay due to the cancellation or postponement.

Private Guided Trips:

Cancellations between now and 60 days of departure, your options to consider are:

  1. Switch to another date or destination in 2020 with no change fee. Trip Leaders, please contact the office to discuss options.
  2. Keep your balance on file and receive a transferrable credit for the 25% deposit. The credit can be used for a Ryder-Walker trip from 2021 forward with no expiration.

NOTE: For both options listed above you will be charged for any out of pocket amounts expended such as non-refundable hotel or taxi transfer charges that Ryder-Walker had to pay due to the cancellation or postponement.

Cancellation less than 60 days of departure, your options to consider are:

  1. Switch to another date or destination in 2020 with a change fee of up to 10% of the trip cost. Trip Leaders, please contact the office to discuss options.
  2. Keep your balance on file and receive a transferrable credit for the 25% deposit. The credit can be used for a Ryder-Walker trip from 2021 forward with no expiration.

* We reserve the right to amend the policies at any time due to the unpredictability of the situation at this time.

Final Balance:

Final balances for all 2020 trips are now due 60 days prior to departure.

Ryder-Walker is monitoring the coronavirus outbreak and acknowledges that there is growing uncertainty about the safety of traveling right now.
