Martin grew up in Berner Oberland where he naturally developed his passion for hiking, climbing, skiing and biking all over the Alps. Throughout several positions in his career in the travel-/tourism industry he traveled back and forth and between North America and Europe. He also transfered to New York City for 5 years and promoted the Swiss Alps and trains from there. With the mountains now being distant he used every opportunity to combine his business trips across the continent with camping and backcountry skiing adventures. His favorite playground became the deserts and red rocks of the Southwest and the Sierra Nevada. Eventually in 2024 he moved back home in order to follow his passion and become a hiking guide.
