Our 2018 hiking schedule debuts in the next few weeks, and we have a bunch of new trips on offer for next year. One that really stands out is our new trip to Peru, and more specifically, Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is one of the most familiar icons of Inca civilization—a stone citadel perched on the ridge of a tropical mountain in the Andes Mountains. Machu Picchu has a global reputation for filling camera lenses with awe-inspiring scenery, and we can’t wait to take you there!
Our South American specialist, Dave Gruss, developed a week-long hiking itinerary that offers copious amounts of exploring at Machu Picchu as well as other hotspots in Peru. A real highlight of the trip is a hike over the Salkantay pass at 15,200 feet. Next week we’ll take a more in depth look at our Peru hiking tour, and we’ll unveil other new trips for next season including a hike in Canada, Portugal and an undiscovered gem in the heart of the Italian Dolomites.
Stay tuned…
