As a native of the Pacific Northwest, being outside in nature comes easy for Erik. He spent most of his youth enjoying the outdoors sharing both parents’ passions of gardening, hiking, and skiing. Summers these days are busy in the garden and on the trails of Colorado and abroad. His winters are spent in Telluride Colorado as a snow safety manager, and avalanche dog handler on the Telluride Ski Patrol. His excitement for the mountains keeps him busy year-round by guiding clients locally and internationally, whether that be on skis or on foot. Erik is passionate about serving his community, and all his decisions are driven by his innate integrity with what is best for the team. He also has a thirst for understanding weather, weather patterns, and climates. This leaves him always prepared as he appreciates the unexpected element of nature. Erik currently lives in Ridgway, Colorado with his Black Labrador retriever, Mona, who serves on the Search and Rescue Team.
