Deanna Cyran RW guide

Deanna Cyran

Deanna grew up in the Appalachia mountains of Pennsylvania. After earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics, she relocated to Colorado for bigger mountains and more sunshine, eventually calling the San Juan mountains home. Deanna quickly learned office life was not for her and started into the restaurant realm where she could ski all day, work at night. There she discovered her passion for wine and eventually became a certified sommelier. Her love for wine has taken her around the world – from a biodynamic winery in Margaret River, Australia to trekking around Eastern Europe to discover indigenous grapes. She provides private sommelier services through her own company Alpine Vine Wine.

However, Deanna’s main zest for life is skiing. Whether its skiing Chair 9 at Telluride, ski touring in the Austrian alps or helicopter ski guiding in Haines, Alaska, she is having fun going left to right. When not in the snow, Deanna enjoys everything the San Juans have to offer from high peaks to desert rivers with her husband, Joe and pup, Olo. Deanna is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Certification Program and holds her Pro 2 certification from American Avalanche Institute and her Wilderness First Responder. Nevertheless, her main goal is to help facilitate unforgettable experiences and grand adventures that get you up close to the awe-inspiring moments of nature.
