The trip is split between the German Bavarian Alps and the Austrian Bavarian Alps as you circumnavigate the Zugspitze. Highlights include high alpine lakes, quaint chalets in Mittenwald, and excellent hiking beneath the limestone summits of the Weterstein ridge.
