Our self-guided trekking in Germany focuses on the mighty Zugspitze, the highest peak in Germany on our High Peaks of Bavaria and Tyrol trek.

The Bavaria region of Germany is everything you imagine about the country – it is ridiculously quaint, from the beer halls and lederhosen to the baroque streets of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The trip is split between the German Bavarian Alps and the Austrian Bavarian Alps as you circumnavigate the Zugspitze. Highlights include high alpine lakes, quaint chalets in Mittenwald, and excellent hiking beneath the limestone summits of the Weterstein ridge.
